Waiting more than 10 seconds

Every day, crores of vehicles pass through the toll plaza. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has made many rules for them. One of these rules is related to time. Yes, if a vehicle is stopped at the toll plaza for more than a certain time, it will not have to pay the toll! This rule was brought by NHAI in the year 2021.

According to this rule, if any vehicle stops at the toll plaza for more than 10 seconds without paying a toll, then it can pass through there for free. That is, it will not have to pay toll tax. This rule applies to all common people. If you have to wait more than 10 seconds at the toll, you will be exempted from the toll.

Those who have a house nearby also get freedom from tolls

The government has another important rule regarding toll tax payments. People whose houses are located near the toll plaza are also exempted from paying tolls. This is because due to having a toll pass, they may have to pass through the toll daily for work or other needs, even if they do not want to.

Therefore, according to the rules of NHAI, those who have a house up to 20 kilometers from the toll plaza get exemption on toll tax. However, for this, you will have to prove that your house is near the toll plaza. If you do not have any proof, you may have to pay double the fine. Therefore, if your house is close to the toll plaza, then keep the necessary documents to take advantage of this rule.
