In today’s time, Aadhaar Card has become the most important document along with proof of your identity. From buying a SIM card to opening a bank account, enrolling in school-college and business, Aadhaar card is required everywhere. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issues a 12-digit Aadhaar card, which includes all your biometric information, name, address, date of birth, etc.
This card is also mandatory to avail government facilities. Every citizen of India has an Aadhaar card. UIDAI also makes Aadhaar cards for new-borns, which are made through birth discharge certificates and Aadhaar cards of parents. However, it is necessary to update the Aadhaar card of children at the age of 5 years and 15 years. If this is not done, then many types of problems can arise. So let’s know why it is important to update the Aadhaar card of children and how it can be done.
Why is it necessary to update the Aadhaar of children

According to the rules of UIDAI, it is mandatory to update biometrics in the Aadhaar card of children twice. First time at the age of 5 years and second time at the age of 15 years. This process is called Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU). In this, the child’s photo, fingerprints, and iris scan are recorded again. This update is necessary to maintain the validity of the Aadhaar card and avoid any problems in the future. If you want your child to continue to get the benefits of all government and non-government facilities uninterrupted, then do not forget to get this update done.
