Maiya Samman Yojana: There is a shocking update revealed regarding Maiya Samman Yojana. Women availing the benefit of any other pension scheme will have to return the entire amount of Maiya Samman Yojana. Apart from this, such beneficiaries will also be deprived of the scheme.
According to the information, in the social security offices across the state, intensive investigation of pension beneficiaries and beneficiaries of Maina Samman Yojana is being done. Due to registration with Aadhar card, women availing the benefits of two schemes simultaneously are being easily identified at the click of a button. Block-wise report of women availing double pension has also been sought from all the districts.
Under widow, old age or other pension schemes, women get only 1 thousand rupees per month. Whereas under Mainiya Samman Yojana, women get 2500 rupees per month. However, at the beginning of the scheme, beneficiaries used to get only 1 thousand rupees under Mainiya Samman Yojana. But, from the month of December, the amount of the scheme was increased to 2500 rupees.
Violation of eligibility conditions for the scheme
According to the eligibility criteria for Mainiya Samman Yojana, women who are already availing the benefits of any pension scheme will not get the benefit of this scheme. Despite this, women who are already availing the benefits of pension applied for Maiya Samman Yojana. Due to a mistake in verification, such women got the benefit of double scheme simultaneously. But, now such women will have to return the money of the scheme.
