Gold Rate Down Today: A slight decline in gold and silver prices was observed today, April 7. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has dropped by ₹2,000, settling at ₹1.47 lakh. Previously, the price of gold had been holding steady at ₹1.49 lakh. Meanwhile, the price of one kilogram of silver has fallen by ₹3,000, reaching ₹2.31 lakh.
Gold Prices on MCX
On the MCX, gold futures prices fell by ₹350 to reach ₹1,49,625 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, MCX silver prices dropped by approximately ₹1,600 during early trading on Tuesday, settling at ₹2,31,800 per kilogram. In Tuesday’s trading session in Singapore, gold prices slipped by 0.5% to reach $4,627 per ounce. Gold has already declined by more than 2% over the past two trading sessions.

IBJA Gold Rates Today
According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 995-purity gold stands at ₹146,898 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the rate for 916-purity gold is ₹135,100 per 10 grams. Additionally, the rate for 750-purity gold remains steady at ₹110,617 per 10 grams. Furthermore, the price of 585-purity gold remains at ₹86,281 per tola.
