These days, many people are receiving a message on WhatsApp in the name of SBI, stating that the YONO app will be blocked if Aadhaar is not updated. An APK file is also being sent with this message, and users are being asked to install it.

Know the reason behind the message

If you have also received such a message in the name of SBI, be careful. This message is being sent from a fake WhatsApp account. The purpose is to scare people into downloading the APK file so that they can be victims of cyber fraud. Remember, neither SBI nor RBI sends such messages to customers. Therefore, report this message immediately and do not download or install the APK file at all.

SBI gives strict advice to customers

State Bank of India itself has issued a warning to its customers to protect them from this type of fraud. SBI has said that clicking on any unknown APK file can lead to money being stolen from your bank account and transferred to another account. The bank has clearly stated that you should not open, download, or update any APK file.
