SAHARA Refund Update: If you invested in a Sahara India scheme and haven’t yet received a refund, there’s some positive news for you. You can now claim a refund of up to Rs 10 lakh. The central government has provided the chance to reapply on the Sahara Refund Portal. 

Those who have previously submitted claims but haven’t received a refund due to mistakes or missing documents can now rectify these issues and resubmit their claims. The claim amount has been raised to Rs 10 lakh (Rs 10 lakh). Previously, the maximum claim amount was Rs 50,000. According to the official website, refunds up to Rs 10 lakh will be available starting November 19, 2025.

Big update on Sahara refund

This means that Sahara India investors can now reapply for claims up to Rs 10 lakh. Just remember, if you’ve already submitted a claim, you can reapply after 45 days. If any details in your claim were incorrect, the documents were unclear, or there were mistakes in your bank information, you can fix them and reapply. This entire process will be conducted online, and you’ll need to visit the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal.

The government states that correctly resubmitted claims will be reviewed and processed within 45 working days. In the past, many individuals received refunds of up to Rs 50,000. However, those whose applications were deemed deficient are now being given the opportunity to make corrections.

Full process of application

When applying, ensure that all information is filled out accurately. Your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and bank account details must be correct. Providing incorrect information could lead to delays in your claim. If you have submitted a claim for up to Rs 50,000, check the status after 45 days.

To complete the resubmission, visit the portal (https://mocresubmit.crcs.gov.in/resubmission/#/home). If you encounter any technical issues or need help with the resubmission process, you can reach out to the portal’s helpdesk at the helpline numbers 011-20909044 and 011-20909045.

According to government estimates, approximately Rs 26,000 crore is deposited in the Sahara-SEBI account, of which Rs 5,000 crore was set aside for refunds. The central government reported in 2022 that the total number of investors in Sahara India Group companies was approximately 130 million, and that these investors had over Rs 1.12 lakh crore stuck.
