Rs 24000 will come in the account, Govt hikes minimum wage of employees

Minimum wage Hike: The Delhi government has taken a big decision to increase the salary of workers working in the capital. All workers working in organized sector companies will benefit from this decision of the government. According to the new pay scale, an order has been issued to increase the salary of all categories of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled workers. It is estimated that 40 lakh people of Delhi will benefit from this.

This decision of the Delhi government will increase the minimum wages of workers employed in all types of scheduled employment from Rs 390 to Rs 520 per month. The Labor Department has issued an order in this regard. If a worker is paid less than the prescribed minimum wage, he can file a complaint with the Joint Labor Commissioner or Deputy Labor Commissioner of the concerned district. These officers are deployed to hear and decide claims under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

Whose salary increased by how much?

Now unskilled laborers in Delhi will get a salary of Rs 18,456 instead of Rs 18,066 every month. In this way, the salary of unskilled laborers has been increased by Rs 390. The monthly wages of semi-skilled laborers has been increased from Rs 19,929 to Rs 20,371. The salary of these people has been increased by Rs 442 every month. Whereas, the salary of skilled workers has been increased from Rs 21,917 to Rs 22,411. The salary of skilled people has been increased by Rs 494 every month.

The wages of non-matriculate workers have been increased from 19,929 to 20,371. The minimum pay scale of ‘matriculate but not graduate’ has been increased from 21, 917 to 22,411 and the salary of workers in the ‘graduate and above’ category has been increased from 23,836 to 24,356. The salary of people in this category has been increased by Rs 520.

Delhi government’s labour minister Kapil Mishra said in a press conference on Wednesday that this increased wage will benefit 40 lakh workers of Delhi. The increased wages have been announced today, but these rates will be considered applicable from the first date of this month i.e. 1 April 2025. This increased pay scale will be given to all the workers this month.
