Why can a ration card be canceled or deactivated?
- Biometric verification is mandatory to get free ration items.
- From now on, ration will not be available without biometric verification.
- Those who have not yet done Ration Card e-KYC, do it before November 30.
- If you do not take ration for 3 consecutive months, your card will be automatically deactivated.
- To activate an inactive card, you will have to do e-kyc again at the ration shop. If you do not take ration for 6 consecutive months, your card will be blocked.
- To activate a blocked ration card, you will have to submit a form to the Food Supply office.
