Two Easy Ways to Check PF Balance

EPFO has made it very easy for members to check their PF balance. You can use Missed Call or SMS service. These services are free. Your UAN must be active, your mobile number must be registered with UAN, and your bank account, Aadhaar, and PAN must be linked with your UAN. The SMS service is available in many languages, including Bengali.

1. Missed Call Service

How to use: Give a missed call to this number from your registered mobile number. The call will disconnect automatically after 2–3 rings. Within a few moments, you will get an SMS with your PF balance and latest deposit details.

Important: Your mobile number must be activated on the UAN portal and KYC (bank, Aadhaar, or PAN) must be linked.

2. SMS Service

How to use: Send an SMS from your registered mobile number in this format: EPFOHO UAN BEN

Replace ‘UAN’ with your 12-digit Universal Account Number.

‘BEN’ is the Bengali language code. You can use other codes: ENG (English), HIN (Hindi), GUJ (Gujarati), MAR (Marathi), KAN (Kannada), MAL (Malayalam), PUN (Punjabi), TAM (Tamil), TEL (Telugu).

After sending the SMS, you will get a message with your PF balance, latest deposits, and KYC info.
