Post Office Service– Big news for Post Office account holder’s. If you use the Registered Post Service of Indian Post to send letters, then this news is for you. Actually, now this service is going to be closed. Indian Post will close the Registered Post and start a new service. The Postal Department of India has always been making its special service, Registered Letter, faster and more modern. The Postal Department made its official announcement on 18 August.
“Registration will be available as a value-added service only for Speed Post items and will provide recipient-specific delivery,” the notification said. Post Office will discontinue Registered Post and start Registered Speed Post. From October 1, registered letters will now be available to you as “Registered Speed Post”. This new service will also ensure faster delivery with modern technology and air transport.
Earlier, the registered postal service was used to send important documents like court summons, legal notices and divorce. Now this service will be provided in a new way in conjunction with speed post.
The Indian Postal Department said on August 18 that this change is being made keeping in mind the needs of the customers and the demands of the market. The new service will have the same legal validity as a registered letter.
The Indian Postal Department is digitizing itself with changing technology. Postmen now have smartphones which have the Postman Mobile App (PMA). Through this app, postmen can enter delivery details and send messages directly to the receiver.
