PNB: Big news for PNB customers. Punjab National Bank (PNB) has introduced an important and helpful feature for its senior citizens and disabled clients. With this new initiative, there will be no need for customers to visit the bank for their banking needs. PNB, in partnership with PSB Alliance, has rolled out a “doorstep banking service,” which will bring essential banking services right to the customers’ homes.
This service is tailored for individuals who, due to age, health, or physical limitations, find it challenging to access a bank branch. It enables customers to carry out many crucial banking activities from the comfort of their own homes.
This service is provided through the PSB Alliance, a collaboration among various public sector banks aimed at enhancing customer service. The free doorstep banking service will be available from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. This means that for a complete six months, senior citizens and disabled customers can manage their banking tasks from home at no cost.
The service includes options such as cash withdrawals, check deposits, account inquiries, and the delivery of important documents. Customers can also submit life certificates, request account statements, and update KYC or registration details from the convenience of their homes.
Punjab National Bank has sold its entire 10.01% stake in Asset Reconstruction Company (ARCIL) to Avenue India Resurgence Pte, meaning PNB will no longer act as the sponsor of ARCIL. Through this service, customers can conduct cash transactions, issue demand drafts, make pay orders, request fund transfers, and perform other vital banking functions. Furthermore, checkbook services and deposit and withdrawal processes can also be handled from the comfort of their homes.
The bank has also mentioned that this feature is currently available in select locations and will gradually extend to additional areas. Customers are encouraged to reach out to their nearest bank branch or call the bank’s helpline for more information.
This initiative is moving the banking system towards becoming more customer-friendly. This service will prove especially helpful for those who cannot visit the bank in person. Overall, PNB’s doorstep banking service is a major relief for senior citizens and disabled customers, providing them with safe and convenient banking services from the comfort of their homes.
