PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Installment Date: At the start of the new year, important news has emerged for farmers regarding the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Millions of farmers are now awaiting the 22nd installment, but before that, the government has made some changes to the rules. If these important tasks aren’t completed on time, the next installment of Rs 2,000 may be delayed before it reaches their accounts. This is why it’s crucial for farmers to remain vigilant this time.

Under the PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana, farmers receive a yearly assistance of Rs 6,000. This amount is distributed in three installments, with Rs 2,000 transferred directly to their accounts every four months. So far, farmers have received the benefit of 21 installments, and all eyes are now on the 22nd installment.

When will the 22nd installment of PM Kisan come?

According to media reports, it is believed that the 22nd installment of PM Kisan may be released in February 2026. However, the government has not yet announced an official date. Therefore, keep checking the PM Kisan website for updates regularly to ensure you don’t miss any important information.

This time, a major change has been made regarding the Unique Farmer ID. The government has made it clear that e-KYC alone will no longer suffice. Farmers who do not have a Unique Farmer ID may face withholding their next installment. Farmer ID is considered a digital identity for farmers, containing land information, crop data, farming information, and income records.

The government’s clear objective is to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach only the rightful farmers and to prevent fake names. This is why Farmer IDs are being linked to the PM Kisan Yojana. If a farmer hasn’t yet created a Farmer ID, their 22nd installment could be delayed.

How to do eKYC?

E-KYC is also required for the PM Kisan Yojana. Farmers who have not yet completed e-KYC may face a financial backlog.

Farmers can complete e-KYC by visiting the PM Kisan website and submitting an OTP via mobile. Additionally, the option to complete biometric KYC at the nearest CSC center is also available.

The government has also launched face authentication on the PM Kisan app for mobile users. Farmers download the app, log in, and complete e-KYC through facial recognition. The status of e-KYC becomes visible on the portal approximately 24 hours after completion.
