PM Kisan Yojana: In recent times, both the Central and State governments have been offering various new benefits to farmers. The government’s objective is to foster economic prosperity by enhancing farmers’ income. The Central Government is expected to transfer the 23rd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme either during the last week of June or within the first week of July. This instalment is set to benefit over 90 million farmers.
Only those farmers who have completed the necessary formalities will receive the benefit of this instalment. If you have not yet completed certain essential tasks, the disbursement of your instalment funds may be stalled. Before his, the Central Government had transferred the 22nd instalment of the scheme on March 13, 2026. Since then, all farmers have been waiting for the next instalment with great anticipation.

Key Details Regarding the Scheme
The primary objective of the Central Government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, a total sum of ₹6,000 is provided annually, disbursed in three instalments of ₹2,000 each. These instalments are scheduled as follows: the first instalments are released between April and July, the second between August and November, and the third between December and March.
Regarding the previous instalment—the 22nd one—Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the funds on March 13, 2026, from Guwahati, Assam. Since that time, farmers have been awaiting the subsequent instalment. While the government has not yet made any official announcement regarding the specific date for the release of the next instalment, various media reports have been making claims to this effect.
Farmers Should Complete This Task Promptly
Farmers wishing to avail the benefits of the upcoming instalment should first complete certain essential formalities to ensure a hassle-free process. The government has made e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) mandatory for all farmers. You can complete this process in two ways: First, via the online OTP method—by visiting the PM Kisan portal, you can complete your e-KYC from the comfort of your home. Second, by visiting a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) to undergo biometric e-KYC verification.
Complete This Task as Well
Farmers should also ensure that their Aadhaar cards are linked to their bank accounts. It is mandatory to link your bank account with your Aadhaar card in order to receive the instalment funds directly into your account. If your Aadhaar number is not linked to your bank account, your payment may be withheld.
These Farmers Will Not Receive Funds
Not all farmers will receive payments under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This includes individuals who purchased land after February 1, 2019, as well as instances where two members of the same family are availing the benefits of the scheme. Furthermore, if documentation or verification remains incomplete, your instalment may be temporarily suspended under these circumstances.
