PM Kisan Yojana: Wait is over, Rs 2000 will soon come in the account of farmers, know the date

Good news for Indian Farmers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) on Monday, February 24. This time, a whopping ₹22,000 crore was distributed to 9.8 crore farmers via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), which also included 2.41 crore women farmers.

How much support do you receive?

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers get ₹2000 every four months, totaling ₹6,000 in three payments throughout the year.

When can we expect the next payment?

The next, or 20th installment, is expected to be released in June 2025, marking the second payment of the year. The third installment is anticipated in October 2025, but the government hasn’t made any official announcements yet.

 

Key advantages of the PM Kisan Yojana

With the financial aid from this scheme, farmers can:

 

– Purchase better quality seeds, fertilizers, and other farming supplies.

– Cover household expenses.

– Address the financial needs of small and marginal farmers.

 

So far, ₹3.5 lakh crore has been disbursed in 18 installments, benefiting around 11 crore farmer families.

 

Who qualifies as an eligible farmer?

To be eligible for the scheme, farmers must:

 

– Be Indian citizens.

– Own agricultural land.

– Be part of a joint family unit, which includes a husband, wife, and minor children.

 

How to register for the PM Kisan Yojana?

If you want to take advantage of this scheme, follow these steps:

 

Check out the PM Kisan Portal at https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Hit the ‘New Farmer Registration’ option.

Fill in your details like name, age, gender, and category (SC/ST).

Provide your Aadhaar number, bank account number, IFSC code, and mobile number.

Wondering how to do e-KYC?

To benefit from the scheme, e-KYC is a must, and you can complete it in three ways:

 

1. Via OTP – Just enter the OTP sent to your mobile linked with Aadhaar.

2. Through Biometric – You’ll need to visit a Common Service Center (CSC) for this.

3. Using Face Authentication – This option is available on the PM Kisan Mobile App and doesn’t need an OTP or fingerprint.
