Relief news is coming for millions of farmers across the country. The central government is preparing to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN scheme). The objective of this scheme is to increase the income of economically weaker farmers so that they do not face financial hardship during farming.
Initiation and Objective of the Scheme
The Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN scheme) in 2019. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 to eligible farmers every year. This amount is transferred to their bank accounts in three equal installments to help them meet their farming expenses.
21 installments released so far
The Government of India has released a total of 21 installments of the PM-KISAN scheme so far. The previous 21st installment was sent to the accounts of farmers in four flood-affected states – Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, farmers in other states across the country are now eagerly awaiting the next installment.
The new installment may arrive in November
According to media reports, the Government of India may release the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana in November. It is reported that the results of the Bihar Assembly elections will be announced on November 14th, and the government may release the new installment of the scheme after that. However, the date for the installment release has not yet been officially announced.
E-KYC and Land Records Verification Required
Farmers wishing to avail the benefits of the 21st installment of this scheme are required to complete their e-KYC. If you have not yet completed your e-KYC, you can complete this process by visiting the official PM Kisan website, pmkisan.gov.in. Farmers are also required to verify their land records. If any incorrect information is provided in the application, the application may be rejected, and benefits may be denied.
Farmers are receiving relief through the scheme
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has provided financial support to millions of farmers across the country. This assistance is proving extremely helpful in meeting small farming expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation costs. The rural economy has also received strong support from this scheme, leading to a gradual improvement in the economic condition of farmers.
