PM Kisan Yojana– Beneficiary farmers of the PM Kisan Yojana who have not yet completed their Aadhaar-based e-KYC and land record verification should quickly complete these important tasks, otherwise they may miss out on the next installment. This alert has been issued ex-post by the Agriculture Department of the Uttarakhand government.

These farmers will not get Rs 2000

The latest post states that e-KYC is mandatory to receive the next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The central government has clarified that farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC process will have their next installment withheld. The government has appealed to farmers to complete their KYC as soon as possible to avoid payment problems.

On August 2nd of this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred Rs 20,843.44 crore to the bank accounts of 97.133 million beneficiary farmers across the country as part of the scheme’s final, 20th, installment. During this period, more than 819,000 farmers in Uttarakhand alone received the benefits of this installment.

According to Ganesh Joshi, Agriculture Minister of the Uttarakhand government, 828,787 farmers in Uttarakhand received Rs 184.25 crore. According to information provided by the central government in Parliament, Rs 182.10 crore was transferred to the accounts of 819,201 beneficiary farmers in the state under the 20th installment.

Recently, the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana was transferred to the accounts of beneficiary farmers in disaster-affected Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. On September 26, 2025, the Union Agriculture Minister transferred Rs 157 crore to 789,128 farmers in Uttarakhand from New Delhi.

Data shows that approximately 30,000 fewer farmers in the state received the 21st installment than the number of beneficiary farmers whose accounts were credited under the 20th installment. Consequently, due to process constraints or other reasons, some farmers in Uttarakhand were deprived of the 2,000 rupee installment this time. Consequently, the government is continuously appealing to complete necessary formalities such as Aadhaar seeding, e-KYC, and land record verification so that as many eligible farmers as possible can receive the benefits of the scheme on time.

How to do eKYC?

The mandatory eKYC process under the scheme is now simpler and easier than ever before. The government has appealed to farmers to complete their eKYC process in time to ensure they receive their next installment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Failure to complete eKYC may result in the installment being withheld.

Beneficiary farmers can complete their eKYC in two easy ways

Online from home using mobile: Farmers can now do eKYC themselves from their mobile by visiting the official portal www.pmkisan.gov.in.

Nearest CSC Centre: Farmers who are not comfortable with the online process can also get this work done by visiting their nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) centre.
