PM Kisan Update: The Central Government is currently implementing several schemes for farmers, including the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Mandhan Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, and pm kisan samman nidhi Yojana. The Modi government is committed to providing financial assistance to farmers in every possible way. In this context, a significant update regarding PM Kisan has emerged.
The Central Government has now made annual e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) mandatory for all beneficiaries of the PM Kisan scheme. Farmers must now complete their e-KYC process before June 30. If an individual fails to complete the e-KYC process, the funds will not be credited to their account. The government states that the objective of this decision is to assist eligible farmers associated with the scheme.
No Instalment Received Without e-KYC
A large number of farmers are registered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. According to officials, names of ineligible individuals are sometimes inadvertently added to this list. Therefore, the government has now issued a directive mandating e-KYC verification every year. Officials have stated that the next installment for farmers who fail to complete their e-KYC by June 30 will be withheld.
Farmers Can Complete e-KYC in Two Ways
Farmers have two options for completing their e-KYC verification. The first method is Biometric e-KYC. Under this method, farmers can visit any jan Seva Kendra (Common Service Centre) and complete the process using their fingerprint/thumb impression. For this, farmers will need their Aadhaar card and a mobile number linked to it.
The second method is Facial e-KYC, which farmers can perform themselves from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones. This process can be easily completed by scanning one’s face through the PM Kisan App.
When Was the 22nd Installment Released?
Farmers are now awaiting the 23rd installment. It is worth noting that the Central Government has, to date, released 22 installments under the PM Kisan Yojana. In the 22nd installment, the government transferred a total amount of ₹18,640 crore into the accounts of over 9 crore farmers.
When will the 23rd instalment be announced?
There has been no official announcement regarding the release date of the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Yojana. The next installment of PM Kisan is likely to be released in June, July, or during the first week of August.
