PM Kisan 22nd Installment: Millions of farmers across the country are currently awaiting the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. Farmers have been waiting for the next installment of Rs 2,000 for several weeks, but it has not yet been released. Earlier, reports suggested that this installment could be released by the end of February. It was then also stated that the money might be credited to farmers’ accounts before Holi, but now, even after February is over and Holi has passed, the installment has not been released.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the central government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to small and marginal farmers. This amount is disbursed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. This money is transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), eliminating the role of any middlemen.
The installment will come on this day!
According to media reports, the date for the 22nd installment is now emerging as March 13th. It is being reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Assam on that day, and the release of the installment for farmers may be announced during that time. However, the government has not yet officially announced this, so farmers may have to wait a little longer.
The e-KYC process is essential
Some farmers might encounter challenges in receiving their installment this time. Those who have not yet completed the e-KYC process or linked their Kisan ID to the portal will not be eligible for the next installment. Additionally, families where a spouse or child has a government job, pays income tax, or receives a government pension of ₹10,000 or more are also disqualified from this scheme.
As a result, farmers are encouraged to finish their e-KYC promptly, verify their land records, and check their eligibility by visiting the official PM Kisan website. The government refreshes the beneficiary list prior to each installment release, making it crucial for all information to be accurate and current.
If a farmer wishes to verify if their name appears on the beneficiary list, they can go to the official PM-KISAN website and input their state, district, block, and village details in the Beneficiary List section. Farmers can also conveniently access information related to the scheme through the ‘Kisan eMitra’ chatbot.
