Petrol-diesel price update – Amidst the fluctuating crude oil prices, some relief has been seen in India as well. Crude oil prices have fallen in the global market, leading to a drop in petrol and diesel prices. Consumers breathed a sigh of relief as petrol and diesel prices fell in some cities on Tuesday morning.

Which cities saw petrol become cheaper?
According to Indian government companies, petrol became cheaper by 34 paise in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and the price trended at ₹94.71 per litre. Diesel prices there fell by 38 paise to ₹87.81 per litre.
Petrol became cheaper in Gurugram by 72 paise, bringing the price to ₹95.12 per litre. Diesel prices fell by 70 paise to ₹87.59 per litre.
In Ghaziabad, adjacent to Delhi, petrol prices rose marginally by 5 paise to ₹94.75 per litre. Diesel also rose by 5 paise to ₹87.86 per litre.
Crude Oil Prices
International crude oil prices declined over the past 24 hours. Brent crude oil prices were recorded at $64.89 per barrel. WTI prices also declined to $60.99 per barrel.
Know the prices of petrol and diesel in metropolises
In the capital Delhi, petrol prices are trending at ₹94.72 per litre and diesel at ₹87.62 per litre.
In the financial capital Mumbai, petrol prices are being recorded at ₹103.44 per litre and diesel at ₹89.97 per litre.
In Tamil Nadu’s capital Chennai, petrol is being sold at Rs 100.76 per litre, while diesel is being sold at Rs 92.35 per litre.
Long-term unchanged rates
Petrol and diesel prices in major cities across the country have remained unchanged for a long time. The last revision was in March 2024. Since then, global crude oil prices have fluctuated. However, there has been no significant change in petrol and diesel prices in India.
