How to change name, address and date of birth?

First of all go to the website of NSDL or UTIITSL.

Now click on the option of Changes/Correction in PAN.

After this you will have to enter some basic details here like PAN number, name, date of birth and email.

Now a 15 digit token number will be generated for you.

Then select the details you want to change and correct them.

After this, upload documents like address proof, proof of date of birth, photo etc.

Finally you have to pay the fees and submit it.

Finally, don’t forget to download the acknowledgement slip. You can check your status later using this slip.

What will be the punishment for making fake Aadhaar and PAN cards?

If someone makes a fake Aadhaar card, he may have to face 3 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 10,000, according to the official website of UIDAI. Along with this, if media reports are to be believed, making a fake PAN card can result in a fine of Rs 10,000 and imprisonment up to 6 months.

The Income Tax Department holds the information related to your PAN card. If you use a fake PAN card for important financial transactions, the Income Tax Department can take strict action against you.
