Now Every Woman Can Start Her Own Business, Government is Offering Unsecured Loans up to 3 Lakh Rupees

The central and state governments have periodically implemented various schemes to empower women across the country financially. One such scheme is the Udyogini Scheme, which aims to provide women with the opportunity to start their own businesses and stand on their own feet. Initially, this scheme was operated exclusively by the Karnataka government, but due to its widespread benefits, it was later implemented nationwide.

This scheme is an important step towards financially empowering women. Under this scheme, the government provides collateral-free loans ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹3 lakh to women so they can start any type of small or medium-sized business. Whether it’s sewing, opening a beauty parlour, or any other venture, the main objective of this scheme is to ensure that women do not have to hold back due to a lack of capital.

This scheme benefits women in the country who are between the ages of 18 and 55 and whose families earn no more than ₹1.5 lakh annually. This ensures that women with lower incomes do not face financial constraints in achieving their goals. If a woman is widowed or physically disabled, there is no income limit, making this scheme even more accessible to women in these categories. Furthermore, it is essential that the woman has not previously defaulted on any loan.

Loan Amount and Scope of the Scheme

Under this scheme, the government provides assistance ranging from ₹100,000 to ₹300,000. This entire amount is provided without any guarantee, allowing women who face difficulties in securing a bank guarantee or collateral to start their own business. Women can also use this loan to expand their business in the future.

Required Documents for Application

Several basic documents are required when applying, including a passport-sized photograph, an Aadhaar card, a family income certificate, a caste certificate, and a project report related to the business being started. If the woman has any training or experience certificates in any field, they can also be attached to the application.

How to Apply for the Scheme

To avail the benefits of the Udyogini Scheme, women can apply by visiting their nearest bank branch. The process can also be completed digitally through the government portal myscheme.gov.in. Previously, this facility was only available to women in Karnataka, but now women across the country can benefit from it. Additionally, many states offer additional subsidies for this scheme, providing further convenience to women.
