Aadhaar Photocopies : Now you are not required to carry or produce photocopies of your Aadhaar card. The government has also released a new digital Aadhaar app recently designed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

The standout feature of the app is that it does away with the need to carry a physical Aadhaar card or produce its photocopy. Identity proof can be easily and safely achieved through this mobile app.

This new Aadhaar app simplifies the verification process as simple as online payment. Just scan a QR code with the app, and then verify using the security features on their phone such as Face ID or fingerprint. iPhone users can use their face to scan, and the app will match it with their Aadhaar data to complete the process within seconds.

This process comes in particularly useful in scenarios wherein individuals frequently have to prove their identity when they are registering at hotels, opening bank accounts, enrolling in hospitals, or visiting examination centers.

Now there will be specific QR codes for all these places, and you can utilize these to confirm your identity without needing to furnish any paper documents.

The largest benefit of this system is that you do not need to carry your Aadhaar card or provide its photocopy. You simply need to download the app, input your Aadhaar setup details and whenever required, scan the QR code and do face scan verification.

As per the government, this process is not only simple and quick but also safer. Your own data will remain confidential, and risk such as misuse of Aadhaar photocopies or identity theft can be minimized. The app has now been launched in beta mode but soon all the citizens will be able to download and use it.
