Ration Card Update: If you are a ration card holder, this news may be very important for you. In Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, the three-month government deadline for e-KYC of ration card beneficiaries has passed, but even after this, 1,93,152 units have been found that have not yet completed e-KYC. Currently, the data of these beneficiaries has been held by the NIC, while no clear instructions have been issued by the government regarding the removal of names.

Strict Government Instructions

The government had made e-KYC mandatory to ensure the smooth delivery of free grain to eligible families by removing ineligible and deceased beneficiaries from the list. They also ordered a three-month extension to halt grain distribution so that all families could complete the mandatory KYC process. Despite this, a large number of beneficiaries remain pending verification.
