If you are thinking of buying a feature-packed, performance-oriented compact SUV in a budget of RS 13 lakh, then both the Mahindra XUV 3XO RevX and the Skoda Kylaq are great options for you. But the question is which of these SUVs will meet your needs better. So let’s know the details of these two cars in terms of design, features, performance and price.
Design
First of all, talking about the design of both, the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Skoda Kylaq both come in the sub-4 meter SUV segment, but there are some important differences in their dimensions. XUV 3XO is slightly wider (1,821mm) and longer (3,990mm) than Kylaq, which gives it a more commanding presence on the road. At the same time, the height of Kylaq (1,619mm) is less than XUV, which makes it look a little sportier.

Performance
Now talking about the performance of both of them, XUV 3XO RevX is ahead in terms of engine power. It has a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine, which produces 130 PS power and 230 Nm torque. At the same time, Skoda Kylaq gets a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine, which has a power of 115 PS and torque of 178 Nm.
Both SUVs have 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options, but the engine of XUV 3XO gives more confidence for highway and overtaking. If you want better acceleration then XUV 3XO can be a better option.
Features
Talking about features, the XUV 3XO RevX A variant can compete with any premium SUV in terms of features. It gets high-end features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and dual-zone climate control.
At the same time, the Skoda Kylaq Signature Plus is also not behind in features, but it does not have as much luxury as the XUV. It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital driver display, but there are no features like a panoramic sunroof and wireless charging. However, the Kylaq has practical features like 60:40 split-folding rear seats and a cooled glovebox.
Safety
Both the SUVs have been given safety features like 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and cruise control. The XUV 3XO has extra features like auto-dimming IRVM and electric foldable ORVMs, while the Kylaq gets hill hold assist and cornering fog lamps, which are helpful in night driving.
Price
The price of Skoda Kylaq Signature Plus ranges from RS 11.25 lakh (manual) to RS 12.35 lakh (automatic), while XUV 3XO RevX A is available from RS 11.80 lakh (manual) to RS 13 lakh (automatic). That means Kylaq is cheaper than XUV by RS 55,000 to RS 65,000. If your budget is tight, then Kylaq can be a better option.
