Soft Light Filters and Camera Improvements
Among the biggest features in the update is the inclusion of soft light filters on both Night and Photo modes. The filters create a warm, glowing effect on pictures, creating ambiance and depth in images. Regardless of whether you’re taking photos under low light or during daylight, the filters add a more refined and more desirable appearance to photos.
AI Tools in the Gallery App
The Gallery also features Smart Story and Best Expression, two AI-powered features that automatically crop, edit, and refine images. Best Expression even scans group photos and swaps facial expressions with better versions shot in a burst. The tools enable users to make professional-quality photos without any manual adjustments.
Breeno Assistant Upgrades
ColorOS’ smart assistant Breeno has seen some significant functional improvements. Users are able to reorder food using only voice from Meituan and Ele.me apps. There is now a new home screen card for more convenient feature access, as well as added ticket reminders for events purchased through Damai. Breeno Screen Recognition has also been improved to provide enhanced image text capture and can be triggered by a two-finger press to minimize accidental activations.
Real-Time AI Call Translation
A notable addition is the real-time AI call translation feature, which interprets calls in real time either as voice playback or on-screen display. This two-language communication feature is found in the AI Call Assistant menu of the Phone app and is especially helpful for multilingual users.
In-Car Casting and LE Audio Enhancements
CarLife casting gains resolution and frame rate control, as well as Gaussian blur and refresh rate limiters for smoother switching between phone and car screen. LE Audio pairing has been optimized for low latency, particularly in gaming sessions, to make Bluetooth connectivity more responsive and seamless.
Multitasking and System Updates

New system properties include multi-screen touch support, temporary banner notification muting, widget stacking, and improved control over mini window placement. These enhancements make multitasking easier. The update further brings along the newest July 2025 Android security patch, keeping the device safe against vulnerabilities.
Restricted to the Chinese Variant for Now
It’s worth noting that this update is only rolling out at present to the Chinese version of the OnePlus 13 that has ColorOS. The global model, which runs OxygenOS, will be getting these same features just on a different timeline. This release, though, provides a good sneak peek at what OnePlus enthusiasts everywhere can expect.
