• For this, first go to the official website of IRCTC irctc.co.in/nget/train-search
• If you want, you can also visit the IRCTC app.
• Login here with your User ID and Password
• Then you have to click on ‘My Profile’ in the ‘MY Account’ section.
• After this click on ‘Add / Modify Master List’
• Then a form will appear in front of you, fill it and submit it.
• Select your category in this form and fill in the required information like name, date of birth etc. and submit it.
• You can add as many passengers as you want to the master list.
• After this your master list is ready.
• Now whenever you book a train ticket, select the name of the passenger for whom you want to book the ticket from this list.

Book train tickets a day in advance
Tatkal ticket booking allows you to book your ticket a day before your travel date. While this does incur an additional fee over the standard ticket price, it’s not very expensive. Tatkal booking is available for all classes, including Sleeper, 3AC, 2AC, and Executive. You can book Tatkal tickets from the comfort of your home or at the railway station using the IRCTC website, the ICRTC Rail Connect app, or the Paytm app.
Fixed time for booking
Please note that Tatkal ticket booking for selected trains opens at the primary station one day prior to the travel date. For Tatkal tickets in AC classes (2A/3A/CC/EC/3E), booking begins at 10:00 AM. For non-AC classes (SL/FC/2S) under the Tatkal quota, booking begins at 11:00 AM.
