Rules Change: The first of every month is crucial, as numerous rules and regulations are created and changed. Many companies operating in India implement changes to their rules. The next month is December, and several major changes are expected on the first day. These changes could be significant for ordinary people.
Changes will occur in rules related to everything from LPG cylinders to Aadhaar cards and UPI. Furthermore, SBI may decide to discontinue transactions using mCash. You can find out what major changes are coming and put your confusion to rest by reading the details below.
Learn about the changes to the Aadhaar card.
According to a report, the UIDAI has decided to make major changes to the Aadhaar card. Now, only the holder’s photo and a QR code will be visible. Personal details such as your name, address, and 12-digit Aadhaar number will also be removed from the Aadhaar card.
Additionally, according to UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, UIDAI is planning to introduce new regulations in December 2025. This will help prevent misuse of data and prevent illegal offline verification methods by hotels, event organisers, and other organisations.
UPI Rules to Change
Major changes to UPI regulations are also expected in December. The new UPI regulations are expected to come into effect on December 31, 2025. This will allow users to manage all their AutoPay mandates (such as subscriptions and EMIs) from a single UPI app.
This change, announced by NPC, will also help users transfer these mandates from one app to another. New security features like face and biometric authentication are also available for some transactions.
SBI may discontinue this feature
SBI is also planning to make a major change on December 1. The bank’s mCash service on its online SBI and YONO Lite platforms is scheduled to be discontinued. SBI is also expected to launch its new YONO 2.0 app by the end of December 2025.
Major Changes in Gas Cylinder Prices
Indian petroleum companies may make significant changes to LPG cylinder prices. LPG prices are revised on the first of every month. Meanwhile, a significant change in LPG prices is also expected on December 1, 2025. Changes in the prices of commercial and domestic cylinders are likely.
