Troubled by low salary, the direction of life changed
Let us tell you that both Danny and Parvati had done a diploma in nursing and paramedical, but they were getting only Rs 5,000 per month in their job. It was becoming difficult for them to survive on this low salary. They tried many different jobs, but were not satisfied anywhere. Both of them decided to quit their jobs and start something of their own, and started a food cart at X-ray junction in Cherthala, Alappuzha.

The food cart gave them a new start
Parvathy said that they started this cart just a month ago. Their house is two kilometers away from there, and they run the cart from 3 pm to 9 pm every day. Nearby shopkeepers, laborers, and local customers have become their biggest supporters. Apart from this, there is a liquor shop nearby, which they have never faced any problem.
When he returned from Hyderabad daily wages seemed better
Danny says that he was not satisfied with the job in Hyderabad. Even after returning to Kerala, private hospitals were ready to give him a salary of only Rs 5,000. Whereas daily laborers used to earn up to Rs 1,000 in a day. That is why he decided to quit his full-time job.
Now earning 2-3 thousand rupees daily
This couple now earns 2,000 to 3,000 rupees every day from the food cart. Parvati says that the people around helped them a lot – whether it was setting up the cart or learning to cook. She started by buying the cart from a friend for Rs 50,000. Cooking was challenging in the beginning. Local people helped her by giving recipes, suggestions, and correct methods.
Customers are liking the menu
Danny said that people like the taste of his food. He also wants to add items like dosa to the menu in the future, but for this, staff will be needed. Right now, they want to move forward slowly after careful consideration. Right now, work is going on on the highway, due to which their place can change anytime. Sales get affected during heavy rains, but now the effect of the monsoon is reducing, and customers have started increasing.
A love story that became a life partnership
Talking about Apmi Love Store, Danny and Parvati met during their diploma course at St. Xavier’s School in Kuruppamathara, Kottayam. After completing their studies, the two decided to get married. Danny started working in a private hospital in Hyderabad, and Parvati, after training in Malappuram, moved to Telangana and started living with Danny. Initially, the family did not approve of this relationship. Later, everyone accepted it.
