Reason for Delay in Instalment

The delay in the Ladki Bahin Yojana funds being credited to accounts is believed to be due to the local body elections in the state. While the instalments would be credited by December 10th, the results of the local body elections will be announced on December 21st. Therefore, the 17th instalment of the scheme may be delayed.

Questions are being raised as to whether the money for the two months of November and December will be transferred simultaneously. During the assembly elections, two instalinstalmentsreleased to women simultaneously. Following that precedent, this time too, the instalment months will be transferred in one go. This will benefit millions of women. Sources suggest that an official announcement regarding the instalment may be made soon.
