Step 1- First of all you have to go to the official website of Income Tax.

Step 2- Now login here with user ID and password.

Step 3- Here you have to go to the e-file option and then go to Income Tax Return.

Step 4- Then click on the option View Filed Return

Step 5- In this way you can easily find out the refund status.

Reasons for not getting a refund?

Claiming incorrect deductions or making mistakes while calculating income tax

Not linking PAN card with Aadhaar.

If the bank account details are entered incorrectly.

If the name given in your bank account is different from the name given in the PAN card.

 

The refund for your ITR is credited only to your pre-validated bank account. Therefore, please pre-validate your bank account.

You can also file a complaint on the Income Tax Department’s website. Doing so may result in a request for a refund reissue.

Delay in ITR Refund, what to do?

Now let’s learn what you can do if your refund is delayed. If it takes more than a month to receive your refund, you can file a complaint on the Income Tax website. It’s possible that the Income Tax Department may ask you to reissue your refund.

You can reissue the refund by following the steps given below.

Step 1- First of all you have to login to the official website of Income Tax Department.

Step 2- Now go to the My Account section here.

Step 3-Then select the Refund Re-issue option and click on it.

Step 4- After this click on Refund Reissue Request.

Step 5- Now here you have to enter the necessary information like PAN, Assessment Year and Return Amount etc.

Step 6- Then you will have to e-verify and submit the Refund Re-Issue Request.
