They have announced a total of 18,262 summer special train trips scheduled from April 15 to July 15, 2026. This initiative aims to facilitate confirmed ticket availability for passengers while also alleviating crowding on trains.

The Railways has stated that these special trains are specifically designed to address the peak travel season. Currently, 11,878 trips have been confirmed, with details about the remaining trains to be shared shortly. The Ministry of Railways has emphasized that a comprehensive plan has been developed, which includes increasing the number of coaches and enhancing the timetable.

Which cities will benefit?

These special trains will simplify travel between major and minor cities across the country, including:

Special arrangements will be made at the stations

Additionally, the railways have implemented various enhancements at stations to improve passenger convenience. The Western Railway has launched a real-time crowd management system at Udhna Railway Station to manage platform crowds effectively.
