New Delhi: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is considered the best scheme for farmers. Under this scheme, an instalment of Rs. 2,000 is transferred to their accounts every four months. The central government transfers this money directly through a program.

All small and marginal farmers covered under the scheme are awaiting the 22nd instalment. It is hoped that the government will transfer this money after the general budget. Meanwhile, there are talks that the government may increase the instalment amount of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Some media reports are talking about increasing the instalment amount to Rs. 4,000. However, no responsible government official has confirmed this. It is also being claimed that this will be announced in the general budget.

Annuity after the increase?

If the instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is increased to Rs. 4,000, the annual benefit will double. Then, Rs. 12,000 will be received in three instalments of Rs. 4,000 each year. Currently, this amount is up to ₹6,000 per year.

Around 12 crore farmers are registered under this scheme, but only those who meet all the conditions receive the benefit. Farmers who do not complete e-KYC and land verification are left without the instalment amount. The government released the 21st instalment of the scheme on November 19, 2025.

Since then, farmers have been waiting for the 22nd instalment of ₹2,000. This wait may end before Holi, i.e., by the last week of February.

Only those farmers who have completed e-KYC or land verification will be eligible for the benefit of the next PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. If farmers’ e-KYC and land verification are not complete, the ininstalmentayment will be delayed. Sometimes, instalments are delayed due to the mobile number not being updated with the Aadhaar card. It is important to complete all these tasks in time.
