The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has established a direct link with 68 major electricity providers across the country to the Digilocker platform. This means you can now download and verify your electricity bill with just a single click. Notably, checking your electricity bill on Digilocker is also quite straightforward. You can obtain your electricity bill by simply entering your account ID and selecting the discom.
What is the benefit of having your electricity bill on Digilocker?
The primary benefit is that you can now access bills from 68 government, private, and municipal power companies on DigiLocker. This includes prominent companies such as Uttar Pradesh’s Pashchimanchal and Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Delhi’s BSES, and Noida Power Company. This feature allows users to view and secure their most recent electricity bills directly from their DigiLocker app. These documents will be issued directly by the power companies, ensuring they are completely authentic and legally valid everywhere. How to get electricity bill on Digilocker?
- First, install the app on your phone and, if you already have it, update it.
- Now after logging in to the app, tap on Search at the bottom.
- Now search Electricity Bill in the search bar .
- After this, click on View All on the option of your state.
- Now click on Electricity Bill.
- Now select your account number and Discom and click on Get Document to get your bill.
- Keep in mind that to get the electricity bill on DigiLocker, you will have to login to the DigiLocker account of the person in whose name the electricity bill comes.
