: The good news is here. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launches the operation of 100 electric buses for Gautam Buddha Nagar. The Noida Electric Bus Depot will also be inaugurated. These electric buses of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation () will operate in Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area. The buses are expected to provide modern, convenient, and pollution-free transportation to passengers and will also strengthen public transport connectivity to the upcoming Jewar International Airport.

The Noida Electric Bus Depot is set to be launched

This depot, aimed at ensuring the efficient functioning of electric buses, will soon be inaugurated. It will act as a central hub for charging, maintenance, and operational activities. Officials state that the depot’s opening will speed up the growth of electric bus services.

The government is prioritizing pollution reduction and the establishment of a clean transportation network by encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles across the state. The Transport Department is confident that the introduction of electric buses will lessen reliance on diesel vehicles and contribute to lowering carbon emissions in urban settings. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will flag off the buses via video conferencing. A total of 100 electric buses, including 10 modern double-decker buses, will then hit the roads. Fares for these buses range from Rs 10 to Rs 30, with a minimum fare of ₹10 and a maximum fare of Rs 30.

Jewar Airport connectivity will see improvements

This initiative, launching in Gautam Buddha Nagar, marks a crucial advancement in enhancing public transport options from Noida and Greater Noida to Jewar International Airport. Officials have indicated that the fleet of electric buses in the district will be expanded in the future to ensure passengers enjoy a smooth and eco-friendly travel experience.
