Farmers receive ₹6,000 annually
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the central government transfers ₹6,000 annually to farmers’ bank accounts. This amount is disbursed in three instalments throughout the year; specifically, three instalments of ₹2,000 each are transferred to farmers’ accounts at intervals of approximately four months.

When was the scheme launched?
The central government provides financial assistance to farmers across the country through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The scheme was launched on December 1, 2018, and the first instalment was released by PM Modi on February 24, 2019, from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Farmers Should Complete e-KYC
OTP-based e-KYC (from the comfort of home): If a farmer’s mobile number is linked to their Aadhaar card, they can complete the e-KYC process themselves by visiting the official PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi website.
Go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ on the website’s home page and select the ‘eKYC’ option.
Enter your Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
Enter the OTP received on your phone and submit it.
