First, file a police complaint

If your PAN card is lost, first file a complaint at your nearest police station. This will ensure that you are legally protected if your PAN card is misused. Additionally, a copy of the police report is also required when applying for a duplicate PAN card.

How to apply for a duplicate PAN card

To apply for a duplicate PAN card, you need to visit the official NSDL website. Enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and date of birth. Then, carefully read the instructions, fill in the captcha code, and submit.

Confirm your address and pay the fee

After submitting the form, you will need to confirm your address and PIN code. An OTP will then be sent to the mobile number linked to your PAN card. After entering the OTP, you will have to pay a fee of Rs. 50 online.

Track your PAN card with the tracking number

After paying the fee, you will receive a slip with a tracking number. You can easily track the status of your new PAN card using this number.
