Central Government Bonus News: The central government has given central employees a treat ahead of Diwali, a big gift. How much will the DA increase be?
The central government has increased the dearness allowance by 3 per cent. Now, employees’ DA has increased from 55 per cent to 5 per cent. This DA increase is valid from July 1, 2025. This means that the DA for the last three months will be included in the October salary as arrears. Employees’ salaries will be higher this festive month.
The central government increases DA twice a year. In the first half of the year, i.e., March, a 2% DA increase was announced. A central government employee working on a basic salary of ₹18,000 will receive an additional ₹1,620, equivalent to three months’ DA, based on 3% DA.
How much bonus has the government announced?
The Modi government at the centre has announced a Diwali bonus of 30 days’ salary for Group C and non-gazetted Group B employees. This bonus will be paid along with the salary for October. The government has announced the bonus in recognition of the good work of its employees and the festival.
Railway employees’ joy
For your information, the central government has given railway employees a productivity-linked bonus equivalent to 78 days’ salary. The announcement was made on September 29th, and this amount has been disbursed before Dussehra. Due to this, railway employees have received a maximum bonus of Rs 17,951.
