Bus Fare Discount – Good news for bus travellers. Diwali and Chhath are approaching. Waiting lists for reserved seats on trains to Bihar are long. Consequently, it’s natural for passengers to worry about reaching home. Keeping this in mind, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation has announced some good news.
To facilitate passengers during the festive season, the corporation has decided to launch a special bus service until November 30th. During this service, passengers will receive a subsidy on bus fares, making their journey more affordable and comfortable. Special bus services will operate from Patna to Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, major cities in Uttar Pradesh, and other surrounding districts. The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation has provided modern amenities on each bus to ensure passenger comfort and safety.
How much fare on which route?
Under the subsidy scheme, bus fares will be discounted by approximately 30% compared to the standard fare. For example, the bus fare on the Patna-Delhi route is Rs 1,873, with a subsidy of Rs 619, and passengers will only have to pay Rs 1,254. Similarly, the bus fare on the Patna-Nagpur route is Rs 1,527, with a subsidy of Rs 394. The bus fare on the Patna-SCR route has been reduced from Rs 2,812 to Rs 1,893.
Under the special bus service, buses will be available on various major routes at different times to suit passengers’ convenience. Additionally, the corporation has also provided digital ticketing and online booking facilities for passengers, allowing them to easily obtain tickets without standing in long queues. Buses will operate from Delhi from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, arriving in Patna the next day.
During the festivals, buses will operate from Patna to Ghaziabad, Mathura, Varanasi, Hajipur, and other major cities. Passengers will be able to avail of this bus service and travel safely to their destinations in less time and at a lower cost. This special scheme will not only enhance passenger convenience but also increase the popularity of the State Transport Corporation’s bus services.
