New Delhi – Before Dussehra, employees are in for a treat as the government has made a surprising announcement. The government has delivered the much-awaited bonus announcement, delivering the much-awaited gift from the Telangana government.
The state’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, has won hearts by announcing a bonus for employees of the state-owned coal mining company, Singareni Collieries Company Limited. This year, the government will pay 34% of the Dussehra bonus, or Rs 819 crore.
How much will employees receive?
The Telangana government has made a significant announcement, benefiting 71,000 employees. CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu stated that SCCL earned a net profit of Rs 6,394 crore in the last financial year, of which Rs 4,034 crore has been allocated for new projects. Now, employees will receive a substantial bonus.
The Telangana government will transfer Rs 819 crore to its employees this year. This bonus will be Rs 23 crore more than last year’s bonus. This year, each of the 41,000 regular employees will receive a bonus of Rs 195,610. It is also expected that 30,000 contract employees will receive Rs 5,500 per employee.
What did regular employees receive last year?
Last year, the Telangana government gave a bonus of Rs 1.90 lakh to regular employees on Dussehra. Contract employees received a benefit of Rs 5,000 per employee. SCCL is a state-owned coal mining company. Telangana owns 51 per cent of its shares and the central government 49 per cent.
How much bonus will these employees receive?
For information, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bokaro, has won hearts by announcing an annual bonus for its employees. Approximately 22,000 workers will benefit. The salary is less than Rs 21,000.
A bonus of Rs 29,500 will be given to employees and Rs 23,600 to trainees. The amount will be transferred to employees’ accounts from September 23rd. In the first year, Rs 26,500 will be deposited into employees’ accounts in 2024. BSL has approximately 7,200 employees and approximately 150 trainees.
