New Delhi: Due to the Chhath Puja festival, the rush of passengers at railway stations has increased significantly, resulting in difficulties in getting tickets. To address the increasing crowds and help passengers travel from faraway places, the Indian Railways has made a major announcement. The Railways has announced that more than 1,200 special trains will be operated for Bihar to ensure safe and convenient travel for passengers.

This important information was provided by Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Northeast Frontier Railway. These special trains will connect several stations in Bihar, helping to control the increased traffic during the festival. According to Sharma, like every year, the crowds during Diwali and Chhath Puja are significant.

Therefore, the Railways have arranged for special trains this year. The number of special trains running this year is significantly higher than last year. In 2024, approximately 7,500 special trains were operated. This year, more than 12,000 trains will operate.

Special arrangements for crowd management and safety

Indian Railways has taken several significant steps to manage congestion at major stations. Holding areas have been created at key stations, providing seating arrangements and train information systems to provide passengers with proper guidance.

In addition, the Railways has increased the deployment of the Railway Protection Force and tightened security through CCTV cameras and drone surveillance.

Automatic ticket vending machines have also been installed to reduce congestion. Sharma said, “We have made special arrangements for the safety and convenience of passengers at major stations. We wish all passengers a safe and comfortable journey.
