Bank Holidays – March Banks Will Be Closed for 18 Days, Check RBI’s List

Bank Holiday List: The month of February is now in its final stages, allowing you to complete your banking work. March is just three days away, bringing a plethora of bank holidays. Including the second and fourth Saturdays, and weekly holidays, banks will be closed for a total of 18 days.

So, if you have pending work, be sure to check bank holiday information first. You might find yourself having to return due to a holiday. The Reserve Bank of India has released a list of holidays, which you can carefully read. Reading the list will eliminate any confusion regarding holidays. You can check the full RBI list below.

Know when banks will be closed in March.

Holidays are about to begin on the first of March. If you want to get any pending work done at the bank, you can first read the RBI list to clear your confusion. According to the RBI list, banks will be closed on March 1st due to the weekly holiday. The following day, March 2nd, banks will be closed in Kanpur and Lucknow due to Holika Dahan.

On March 3rd, banks will be closed in many cities, including Bhopal, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, and others, due to Holi and related festivities. Banks will also be closed on March 4th, the second day of Holi, due to festivals celebrated in various states. Cities like Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Jammu, New Delhi, Raipur, Shillong, and Shimla will be closed.

According to the RBI list, banks will be closed in Aizawl on March 13th due to Chapchar Kut. March 14th is the second Saturday, so banks will be closed across the country. The following day, March 15th, will be a Sunday holiday. Banks will be closed in Jammu and Srinagar on March 17th due to Shab-e-Qadr.

Additionally, on March 19th, banks will be closed in several cities due to festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and the beginning of Navratri. This includes Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Srinagar.

On March 20th, banks will be closed in Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada due to Eid al-Fitr and Jumaat al-Vida.

On March 21st, banks will be closed in most cities due to Ramadan Eid and Sarhul. Banks will remain open in some cities. March 22nd, being a Sunday, will remain closed across the country.

On March 26th, banks will be closed in many major cities due to Ram Navami. March 27th will also be a holiday in some states on the occasion of Ram Navami. March 28th is the fourth Saturday, and March 29th is Sunday, so banks will be closed across the country on both days.
