Benefits for those over 70
Last year, the government made a change to provide additional health coverage of ₹5 lakh for every member over 70 years of age. This means that if a family member is already covered under the PMJAY and is over 70 years of age, they will receive an additional ₹5 lakh top-up. This means a sum of ₹10 lakh will be given.

Criteria for people over 70
To benefit from this scheme, a person must be 70 years of age or older.
Additionally, age proof will be obtained from their Aadhaar card.
Eligible individuals will only need to re-verify their Aadhaar eKYC.
What benefits do the elderly receive?
If someone is 80 years of age or older, they receive full benefits.
