How to correct your name in Aadhaar card?
If the spelling of your name on your Aadhaar is not correct you can fix it online in a couple of minutes by going to the UIDAI website. To begin the procedure to correct the misspelling of your name you must first go to the UIDAI website.
Once you log into UIDAI’s website, click on “My Aadhaar”, which has a link called “Update Aadhaar”. You will be asked to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and your mobile number associated with Aadhaar. After completing these fields, an OTP will be sent to your mobile to allow you to create a log in.

When you log into UIDAI’s website you will see an option titled “Update Demographic Information” where you can make the necessary corrections to your name, address, and/or date of birth. As far as changing names goes please be extremely careful with regards to spelling your name correctly in order to avoid issues in the future as once you make an error with your name spelling you won’t be able to do a second correction until you can prove that the first error occurred.
After entering the information, you need to upload a valid supporting document. Accepted identity documents like PAN card, voter ID or passport will be accepted. After submitting all the details, the system will give you a Service Request Number (SRN), which will allow you to check the status of your Aadhaar correction online.
