How much will salaries increase under the 8th Pay Commission?

Employee unions are expected to demand a fitment rate of 2.86 or higher. According to some media reports, the fitment factor is expected to range from 2.28 to 2.46. If this fitment factor is implemented, salaries are expected to range from ₹18,000 to ₹51,480. This is expected to be quite impressive. The fitment factor may also be officially confirmed soon.

When was the 7th Pay Commission implemented?

The Central Government implemented the 7th Pay Commission on January 1, 2026. Previously, the 6th Pay Commission was implemented on January 1, 2006.
