Toyota Upcoming SUVs – The Indian auto market is in an exciting mood these days. Every brand is trying something new. Meanwhile, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is also preparing to make a big move in 2026. Toyota is typically considered a quiet player in India, but this year, the picture appears to be changing. The company is reportedly set to launch three new SUVs: an electric SUV, an updated mid-size SUV, and a powerful new-generation Fortuner.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

The first SUV to be entered is Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella. It is expected that it will reach Indian showrooms by February 2026 or early March. It will be Toyota’s first fully electric SUV in India.

The model will be the corporate cousin of Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, but Ebella will create its own distinct identity in terms of design. Its front design will be inspired by European style. The headlamps and nose section will see a look like “hammerhead shark”, inspired by recent Global Toyota cars.

Talking of range Urban Cruiser Ebella will come in two FWD single-motor variants with a range of about 440 kilometers and another with a range of up to 543 kilometers. Its price is being estimated between Rs 16 lakh to Rs 20.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

New Gen Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

In the mid-size SUV segment, competition is accelerating day by day. Toyota can launch a new generation model of its Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in Q3 2026.

This SUV from outside will look even more sharp and modern. New bumpers, 17-inch alloy wheels, updated headlamps and tail lamps will give it a fresh look. But real change can be seen inside.

The new Hyryder is expected to feature features such as kick-activated powered tailgate, power front seats, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) can also be added, which will increase both safety and virginity.

Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner

If there is any “king of the world of SUVs in India ”, it is Toyota Fortuner. The company is now working on its third generation, which may be unveiled by the end of 2026.

This new Fortuner will also be a based body-on-frame SUV on the IMV platform. The exterior will be more sharp and sofistic, while the interior is more upmarket and take-loaded than before.

Large displays such as 12.3-inch digital instrument clusters and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment systems can be provided. Features such as panoramic sunroofs, ventilated seats and seven airbags can also be added.

Many advanced safety features will be found under the Toyota Safety Sense 3 (TSS 3) suite with new electric power steering. Talking about the engine, the 1GD-FTV 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine can continue, giving 201 hp power and 500 Nm torque. It can be brought from Thailand to India through CKD kits.
