Upcoming Toyota SUV
Toyota has been working on its second Creta rival SUV for a long time. Land Cruiser FJ has been confirmed to be coming to India before, which is about 4.57 meters in length. The newly arrived SUV will be placed in 4.3m to 4.4m segment i.e. direct collision from Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate.
According to sources, the design of this new SUV may also resemble the Land Cruiser family, allowing it to achieve popularity immediately. After all, the name of Land Cruiser is enough.
Toyota Land Cruiser DNA
Toyota introduced Land Cruiser Se concept at Japan Mobility Show. The final version of the Creta rival SUV is believed to be inspired by this concept. It will also include Rugged body, Muscular stance and Iconic Land Cruiser styling. Toyota has always been known for durability and reliability. Therefore, the new compact SUV may also see the same Land Cruiser togness.
Powertrain Options
Land Cruiser Se concept was a pure BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). For this reason, it is expected that the incoming SUV can also be offered as EV. Although Toyota has been working better in hybrid technology for the past several years, it can also find hybrid variant.
But according to reports it is less likely to have PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) version and EV + strong hybrid (HEV) option is considered to be the most practical. Toyota believes in keeping its SUVs practical, so balance will be seen in both feature and powertrain.

4WD Option
Being part of the Land Cruiser family, this new SUV is highly likely to feature a 4WD drivetrain. If so, it could offer a completely different level of capability in the compact SUV segment, especially for buyers who enjoy adventure or tough terrain.
