The Renault Duster, which created a stir in the SUV segment, is all set to return to Indian roads once again. This is a name that once had a strong hold in the mid-size SUV market, and now the company is going to introduce it with a new design, advanced tech and powerful engine options. It is being said that the new Duster will be launched in the first half of 2026. This time it will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and other powerful SUVs.

Engine
Globally, the new Renault Duster has been introduced with several engine options. These include – 1.3L petrol EDC engine with 130bhp and 1.2L 48V Mild Hybrid engine with 140bhp. At the same time, the Strong Hybrid Version offers 1.2kWh of battery and two electric motors with a 1.6L petrol engine.
If you talk about Indian version, the company is considering giving the same powertrain in India. This SUV can come with both Manual and DCT Automatic gearbox options. At the same time, the 4X4 Drivetrain system can only be given in the top variants, giving it the appearance of an off road machine.

Hybrid or Petrol
According to the news, Renault India will launch the first petrol-engined Duster. After this, its Hybrid version can also be introduced within about 6 to 12 months. This time the company wants to offer Duster not just as an SUV but as a Multi-Option family car.
In addition, Renault is also working on a 7-Seater version, which will be launched in 2027 under the name Renault Boreal. It will be a large version of the Duster and will also have the same engine and features as the 5-seater Duster. It is scheduled to compete with Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.

Talking about its features, it will include a 10.1-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System, Wireless Phone Charger, Panoramic Sunroof, 360-degree Camera, Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), and many modern safety features.

Design
The design of the new Duster will be more Bold and Aggressive than ever. It will be provided with a wide grill, sharp LED headlamps and a muscular body line.
New taillights and alloy wheels in the rear will give it a European SUV look. Renault has given it a look that will be perfect for both city streets and off-road.
