Porsche Cayenne Electric: First look at the new luxury SUV and its impressive features

When it comes to luxury SUVs, Porsche is a name that always comes to mind. Since 2002, Cayenne has taken the brand to new heights. After offering petrol, diesel and hybrid versions, the company has now decided to offer an electric version. Yes, Porsche Cayenne Electric is coming, and its first look has surfaced. Design

In terms of design, the front is similar to the Cayenne ICE, but the rear is different and modern. It has a fragmented LED light bar and a prominent Porsche logo in the center. The active wing on the tailgate gives it a similar sportier look.

Strength and performance

If you are a power addict, this SUV will not disappoint. It has two permanent magnet synchronous motors, making it all-wheel-drive. Its output exceeds 1,000 hp and torque reaches 1,500 Nm.

It increases speed from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds. It reaches 200 km / h in less than 8 seconds. Its top speed exceeds 250 km / h. This SUV is not only powerful, but also offers rocket-like performance.

Battery and range

Talking about the battery, it is equipped with 113 kWh NMC battery, which is said to have a range of more than 600 km / h. Interestingly, a fast charger of 400 kW can charge this battery from 10% to 80% in just 16 minutes. The 200 kW charger will do the same in 26 minutes.

In addition, it also has an energy recovery system that significantly recharges energy during braking. Porsche claims that the system is equivalent to a Formula E car and can achieve braking up to 97% without friction brakes.

Interior and features

The interior has a new three-screen layout, including a 14.25-inch curved instrument cluster, a 12.25-inch OLED flow display, and a 14.9-inch passenger display.

Features include 14-way adjustable seats, massage functions, an AI voice assistant, an AR head-up display, ambient lighting, and mood modes. Notably, the upholstery is completely leather-free, offering buyers a variety of fabric and trim options.

Launch and Competition

The Porsche Cayenne Electric will make its global debut in November 2025. Its India launch is expected in the second half of 2026. Initially, the company will offer it in base and turbo variants. In the market, it will compete with premium electric SUVs like Range Rover Electric, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron.
