Now let me tell you that a new stir is coming in the MPV segment. Nissan has spied its upcoming compact MPV for the first time in India. This new model will be based on the Renault Triber and will come as another badge-engineered product between Renault-Nissan, just like Kiger and Magnite. The company may launch it in late 2025 or early 2026.

Exterior
Although the test unit is fully camoflage, spy shots suggest that the front of the Nissan MPV will be different. It will get a new facia with a large grill and hexagonal inserts. The headlights and C-shaped accents of the front bumper will show it as distinct from the trib. Wheels’ redesign and functional roof rails will also be seen. Some changes are also expected in the rear bumper, although this is not clear in the photos.

Interior and Features
Although interior photographs have not yet been revealed, the Interiors will be largely the same since the MPV is based on the Tribar. It will have some changes with Nissan’s special touch to make it look different from its Renault cousin.
- 7-inch TFT instrument display
- 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto)
- Wireless charging pad
- Cooled Central Storage Box
- Sliding and reclining second-row seats
- Three-Ro Modular Seating Configuration
All these features make it a family and practical SUV.
Engine
Also, the new Nissan MPV will feature a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 72hp power and 96Nm torque. It will be paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission. This is the same engine used in the Tribar.

This powertrain is perfect for daily rides and city traffic with low fuel consumption. The 7-seater flexibility makes it ideal for both small families and long rides.

Launch and price
The launch of Nissan MPV in India is likely in the first quarter of 2026 (January– March 2026). The price is expected to be similar to the Tribar, which ranges between ₹5.76 lakhs to ₹8.38 lakhs (ex-showroom). This will be the second option after the Tribar in the MPV segment, which will be available in an economic package with a 7-seater.
