Design
On seeing the look of the new KTM 990 RC R, it is understandable that this bike is made not just for riding, but to give a riding experience. Its front facia (front fascia) is extremely bold, with a small projector LED headlamp, surrounded by large winglets on both sides. These are not only great to watch but also increase stability at high-speed.

Side fairings cover the entire engine and its muscular fuel tank gives the design a more aggressive look. Its short upswept tail section gives it a real track bike-like look. Speaking of the seat, the rider has a sporty and tight seat, while the Pilion seat is short and sleek, with a track-ready approach.
Performance
The 990 RC R has the same engine as the 990 Duke – 947cc parallel-twin engine. However, KTM has made several major changes to it. The mapping and exhaust system of the engine has been redesigned to improve throttle response and top-end performance.
This bike generates 128bhp power, which is more than the 990 Duke. At the same time, Torque of 103Nm gives it excellent acceleration. Meaning, on the track or on the open road, this bike is capable of giving adrenalin rush to every rider.
Suspension
To handle such a powerful machine, KTM has equipped it with premium hardware. Brembo’s four-piston Hypure brake calipers ensure precise braking.
Additionally, the fully adjustable WP Apex suspension ensures excellent performance on all terrains, whether track or street.

Technology
The new KTM 990 RC R is based not just on power, but also on advanced technology. It features several electronic aids such as Traction Control, Wheelie Control, and Launch Control, which make bike rides safer and fun. These systems keep the bike stable and under control at every situation.
All these features can be adjusted according to different riding modes. The bike features four modes such as Rain, Street, Sport, and Performance, while Track Mode is an optional feature. All of this is controlled by an 8.8-inch TFT Display, which gives the rider a complete digital experience.
Launch
Now the big question is whether the KTM 990 RC R will be launched in India? For now, the answer is ‘no’. The company has not yet given any indication about its India launch. The track-focused supersport segment in India is quite limited, and hence, the arrival of this bike seems a bit difficult.
